Interested in preserving the history of life and development of East Gippsland? Why not become a member of East Gippsland Historical Society?
Our Society is staffed totally by volunteers who provide assistance with research, copying documents, maps, photographs and information on items of historical significance in East Gippsland. Your contribution could help in the development of our resource centre.
There are many interesting jobs available in our development program and include: visitor reception, cataloguing, data entry, maintenance, machinery restoration and display. If any of these appeal to you, please contact us.
The membership cost is $30.00 per annum for a single membership, and $40.00 per annum for a family.
Benefits to members include free access to research facilities and a copy of the quarterly publication 'The Black Sheep'.
The Research room is open from 7.45pm to 10.00pm on Thursday evenings for research activities, as well as our normal opening hours.
Contact the society on 03 5152 6363 for a membership form.
